Application Systems

The economic deployment of business application systems requires an adequate description and evaluation of the functions they provide. They should also be tightly integrated with other systems within the business processes they are used in. The subject of our research is the various categories of business application systems, such as expert systems, decision support systems or knowledge management systems. To support their evaluation and integration, we develop frameworks that stress core concepts and requirements. Our Knowledge Management Laboratory features a number of application systems, especially those designed for corporate knowledge management.
